Here’s the Deal…

I’ve been leather crafting since 2010. I’ve maintained an online presence and created / sold my leather goods under the name American Ruin since 2011. It has been an absolute joy to have continuously worked at my passion for the past 15 years.

We currently find ourselves in need of a little help from our friends.
Our physical location in Ventura, CA is under a Hostile Takeover by my soon-to-be ex spouse, and my apprentice and I have been locked out. I’ve also been locked out of my Etsy account. These actions have greatly limited our ability to make an income with our leather work.

This takeover involves a hidden online kink account, broken promises, abusive litigation, the theft, destruction, and distribution of personal property belonging to me and my apprentice, and the destruction of joint property. (For legal reasons, I have to say all of these things are alleged… for now.)

All that being said, American Ruin existed before the marriage, and it will exist after the dissolution.

We’re not going anywhere.
We’re simply evolving.

We are raising funds for a needed resupply of leather and hardware. I’ve been able to purchase some staples, but we’re a little bare bones at the moment. (Many of my personal containers, drawers, and supplies are still being withheld). My apprentice and I are exited to get back to the grind for all you lovely people, and we have a number of new designs were dying to show you!
